The IAD is governed by the membership and a board of directors consisting of 12 members including four elected officers of the association. In 1982 the IAD opened a home office to provide better services for the Deaf citizens of Indiana. The office functions as a clearinghouse on Deaf issues and does supportive work for the board and committees of IAD. Board meetings are held 4 times/year at various locations around the state. Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise stated.
